CROSS-DOCKING:

Your company will be able to reduce handling and storage costs while improving turnaround time and lowering transportation cost by taking advantage of Team Fanok’s cross-docking service.

Cross-docking is a practice in supply chain transportation of unloading products/material from an incoming mode of transportation and loading these products/materials onto an outbound mode of transportation with little or no storage in between.  Below is a partial list of the benefits and functions of cross-docking:             

      ~Unloading non-palletized containers onto palletized or non-palletized short and long

        distance trucks or onto rail.

     ~Shipping products from one of many sites for performing Value Added Services (VAS). 

       Example of VASs: kitting, testing, assembly, modifications, loading software applications

       or patches, labeling and bundling.

     ~Shipping products to more than one location from an original load either container or

        truck.  

     ~Consolidating LTL (less than truck load) onto FTL (full truck load) or reversing the process.

     ~unloading containers and large trucks, then kit products as required by your company and

       ship to one or many locations.
